18. Eesti Filosoofia aastakonverentsi korraldab Tallinna Tehnikaülikool 24.-25. augustil 2023.

Registreerumise avame juuni alguses.
Selle aasta teema on Filosoofia. Õiglus. Kestlikkus. Tehnoloogia.
Konverentsile ootame ettekandeid, mis käsitlevad ühiskonna ja tehnoloogiate õiglase ning kestliku arengu filosoofilisi aspekte. Paneeldiskussioonide teemad ja ettepanekud panelistide osas on teretulnud.
Ettekande teesid (u 250 sõna) palume saata kas eesti või inglise keeles aadressil efak@taltech.ee hiljemalt 31. maiks. Teeside vastuvõtmisest teatame hiljemalt 5.juuniks. Eeldame, et ettekanne toimub samas keeles, milles on teesid esitatud. Erisused palume eraldi täpsustada.
Konverentsil ei ole osalustasu, kuid osalejad peavad katma oma majutuskulud juhul, kui jäädakse ööbima.

The 18th Annual Estonian Philosophy Conference is organised by Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia and held on 24-25 August 2023.
The venue is Nelijärve Holiday Centre http://www.nelijarve.ee/en/
The registration will be announced in early June.
We welcome contributions by philosophers on topics related to this year’s theme: Philosophy. Justice. Sustainability. Technology.
Contributions are expected to address philosophical issues of the just and sustainable development of society and technology. Any special panels and proposals for panellists are welcomed.
Please send your abstract (approx. 250 words) in Estonian or English by 31 May 2023, at the latest to e-mail: efak@taltech.ee
Notifications of acceptance will be communicated by 5 June at the latest.
We assume that the language of your abstract will be the language of your presentation. If not, please specify.
There is no registration fee, but participants have to cover their accommodation expenses in case they stay overnight.
Tallinna Ülikooli humanitaarteaduste instituut kutsub kõiki filosoofiahuvilisi XVIIEesti Filosoofia aastakonverentsile 25.-26. augustil 2022 imetabases Käsmus, Lainela puhkekülas.
Konverentsi peakõnelejad on Mikhail Minakov (Ukraina) ettekandega “Towards the ontology of caesura. Reflecting the experience of Russian-Ukrainian war and the related geopolitical conflict” ja Anu Põldsam (Tartu Ülikool, teema täpsustamisel).
Ettekande ettepanekud (kuni 1500 tähemärki) palume saata 23. juuliks 2022 aadressile eestifilosoofia2022@gmail.com. Ootame ka paneeliettepanekuid koos ettekannete ja kõnelejate nimekirjaga.
Konverentsil osalustasu ei ole, aga osalejate enda kanda jäävad majutus- (alates 19 eurot) ja toitlustuskulud. Kes soovib kohe broneerida kõige soodsamat majutust, palume sellest varakult teada anda.
The Institute of Humanities, Tallinn University, is calling for abstracts for the XVII Annual Estonian Philosophy Conference on 25-26 August 2022 in Käsmu, a picturesque coastal village, Estonia.
The invited keynote speakers are Mikhail Minakov (Ukraine) with a talk entitled “Towards the ontology of caesura. Reflecting the experience of Russian-Ukrainian war and the related geopolitical conflict”, and Anu Põldsam (Estonia).
The deadline for paper abstracts (up to 1500 characters) is July 23. Please send them to eestifilosoofia2022@gmail.com. Panel proposals with speakers and abstracts are also welcome.
There is no conference fee. Participants are expected to cover their own accommodation (if help is needed, you can contact the same email), as well as dining and travel costs.

Konverentsil kontrollitakse COVID tõendit vaktsineerituse, läbipõdemise või varasemalt tervishoiutöötaja juures tehtud testi negatiivse tulemuse kohta. Kui tõendit pole võimalik esitada, tuleb konverentsil kanda maski.

COVID certificate about vaccination, recovery or previously done negative test result (must be done by a healthcare provider) will be checked at the conference. If one is unable to provide the certificate, they will be required to wear a mask during the conference.

Tartu Ülikooli filosoofia osakond korraldab 23-24. septembril Tartus järjekorras kuueteistkümnenda Eesti filosoofia aastakonverentsi.
Konverentsi peaesineja on Princetoni ülikooli filosoofiaprofessor Peter Singer. Seoses Singeri mõjuka raamatu “Loomade vabastamine” ilmumisega eesti keeles on ühel konverentsi päeval kavas Singeri tunniajane esinemine formaadis “In Conversation with Peter Singer”, mille raames ta vastab ka kuulajate küsimustele.
Konverentsile ootame abstrakte erinevatel filosoofia teemadel (nii eesti kui inglise keeles) ja ettepanekuid sümpoosioniteks filosoofia päevakajalistel teemadel. Abstraktide pikkuseks on 200-300 sõna, juurde tuleb märkida ka autori nimi ja seotud organisatsioon. Sümpoosioni ettepanekute juurde palume lisada osalejate nimed. Tähtaeg on 15.august (k.a.) 2021 ning esitada tuleks need elektrooniliselt efak@ut.ee.
Loodame konverentsi korraldada koha peal, vajadusel võimalik ka ettekanded distantsilt.

- Peter Singer (Princeton University, via Zoom)
The Philosophy Department of the University of Tartu organizes the 16th edition of the Estonian Annual Philosophy Conference. Our keynote guest is Peter Singer to mark the imminent publication of the Estonian translation of Animal Liberation (1975) – the book that placed animal ethics at the center of professional philosophy as well as proving immensely influential outside academia. Kadri Simm (Associate Professor of Practical Philosophy, University of Tartu) will join Peter Singer in a conversation, during which he will also answer the audience’s questions.
We invite the submission of abstracts on any topic in philosophy (whether or not related to Singer’s work), in Estonian or in English. We also welcome proposals for symposia on a common theme or on a recently published book. Please send an abstract or a symposium proposal of 200 to 300 words to: efak@ut.ee. The abstract must include author’s name and affiliation. A symposium proposal must also include names of participants. Submission deadline: August 15th, 2021
The conference will be held physically on the premises of the University of Tartu, but we will be able to accommodate contributors who prefer to present remotely.
